Cricket for Girls Conference 2024 - Friday 19th April 2024 - Venue TBC (London area)

We are thrilled to announce details of the inaugural 'Cricket for Girls Conference'. The conference will bring together teachers and coaches from the women and girls game to create a space for learning and sharing of knowledge and expertise.

The day will be led Cricket for Girls Founder and Head Coach, Lydia Greenway OBE, and will also include workshops delivered by experts from the women and girls game. The conference will feature a number of expert guests and workshops, including:

• Considerations when coaching and teaching females
• Female health for cricketers
• Tactics and captaincy in game situations 
• How to manage the transition to hardball cricket 
• How to develop batting against spin or slow bowling 
• How to introduce and coach spin bowling 
• What to prioritise when developing young players or new players to the game
• How to create the best environment for female cricket teams and players

The day is also a perfect opportunity for teachers and coaches to network and share stories and best practice for developing a successful women and girls programme.
